End-user licence agreement
The licence for the Chowder desktop application.
Licence grant
Standard is licensed without an account or paid entitlement. Subject to these terms, and to an active entitlement for Pro features, Clarity Soft grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Chowder desktop application on the number of devices permitted by your plan.
Entitlements and activation
Pro features are activated with an opaque Clarity Soft code and a bounded signed entitlement lease. Paddle handles checkout but is not the licence authority. Chowder verifies the expected issuer, audience, product, plan, key, installation and validity period. Standard remains available after expiry without deleting local history or quarantine.
Restrictions
You may not reverse engineer, tamper with licensing or entitlement verification, or redistribute the application except as expressly permitted.
Open-source components
Chowder integrates with ClamAV and uses other open-source components under their respective licences. Platform packages may depend on a distribution-provided ClamAV installation rather than bundling it. See the open-source notices.
Termination
This licence ends if you materially breach these terms. On termination you must stop using the paid features; Standard local scanning may continue.
